soon. overnight lows for tomorrow morning. 28 in santa rosa. 29 in fairfield. these numbers could dip even further out in the valley. upper 20s, low 30s. oakland 39 degrees. not 28, but 39 degrees in an urban area is a big deal. you have lots of issues when you get that kind of cold in the urban center. that's what we are going to see. temperatures will not just be cold at night but during the day as well. daytime highs in the low 50s and ier 40s into wednesday and thursday. that will be very noticeable. tomorrow, 49 in napa. that is a daytime high. daytime high in pleasanton. daytime high in livermore. temperatures, most of us will be in the upper 40s, low 50s. freeze warning tomorrow morning for the north bit. late tonight, early tomorrow morning. freeze warning wednesday night into thursday morning for the rest of the bay area excluding san francisco. what happens here, p we will talk about this more, but friday we have a chance for some showers. we see some significantly low snow levels with this. that's going to warm us up a little bit. we'll look forward for the chance of rain.

cold for you at 21, santa rosa at 26. vallejo at 23, concord at 27. livermore the mid-20s. we are looking at widespread frost this morning for most of the bay area. downtown's and francisco is the exception is 14 degrees colder in livermore now compared to 24 hours ago. 10 in fairfield, 11 and vallejo. seven degrees and san jose. you will feel the chill in the air. morning lows for this morning expected to bottom out in the mid-20s. oakland a 35 and the mild spot will be in downtown san francisco and the lower 40's. the freeze warning has been extended through tomorrow morning for the entire bay area with the exception of san francisco. we're watching below freezing conditions once again through tomorrow. we will have to watch the protective valleys and the north bay mountains. and again, san francisco is not impacted. highs for today are very similar to yesterday. we will see some disguise the temperatures definitely below average. 49 degrees and san jose agreed not even breaking 50 degrees. 49 in san mateo, low fifties for downtown san francisco, not all are around 49. tempe

of the victim. and no suspect description >> lawmakers are considering building a memorial park in santa rosa for slain teenager, andy lopez. sonoma county supervisors will meet tomorrow to also consider creating a task force to explore police and community relations. 13-year-old lopez was shot in october by a deputy while walking through his own neighborhood. the deputy told investigators he believed the airsoft b-b gun lopez was carrying was an assault rifle. >> a team of firefighters are being called heros this morning for saving the life of an oakland toddler that nearly drowned in a vallejo creek over the weekend. the boy from oakland was visiting his great grandmother who took the child fishing at blue rock springs creek off fairgrounds drive in vallejo on saturday afternoon. police say the boy fell into the water and got stuck in a drainage tunnel. before his great grandmother and a good samaratan jumped in to try and save him. veteran fire fighter dyhanne strohmeyer and her crew arrived within minutes and she immediately got into the water, searching for him. >> i came back up and i h

was back in 2009. also, a new record cold temperature. santa rosa at 28. last time it was this cold, was in 1998 for them. freeze warning in effect. a newly issued areas under the freeze warning are the east bay and the south bay. that's where temperatures are going to be dropping an additional five to eight degrees for tonight. the overall range, 25 to about 36 degrees. and of course, as many of you know in the south bay who have opened up the door and stepped outside in the past hour, freeze warning also here for you. that includes the peninsula, as well. let's get a look at some of the damage here across the bay area. what you're going to see are temperatures right now running five to ten degrees colder than this time last night. so, if you thought it was chilly last night, again, as we head throughout tomorrow morning, those numbers are going to be even chillier. so, let's get a look right now across the bay area. most temperatures averaging in the 30 toss about 40 degrees. the north bay 38. san francisco, 42. will likely have record-setting low temperatures here, as well. by 7:

for some of the coldest temperatures, santa rosa and petaluma at 20 degrees and mill valley at 27 degrees. about 24 degrees in novato and 23 in american canyon and sausalito is close to freezing, same in calistoga and bodega bay at 34. san francisco is at 37 degrees and half moon bay, as well, and cupertino and lafayette looking good. san ramon is 40 in the hills but in the valley toward 680, it is 28 degrees. we have 12 degree microclimate over a mile and a half to two miles. sutro tower is cool, but it is a "spare the air" day with all of the sunshine and it will be hazy from time to time, and freezing cold and most of us tonight and slowly warming afternoons will translate into slowly warming overnight temperatures, too, but not today, upper 40's to low 50's. san jose the high was 47 degrees almost a record cold high tomorrow. the record is 46. tonight, we are in the 20's in most neighborhoods and low-to-mid 30's around palo alto and richmond and half moon bay and mid-30's around oakland and san mateo and the least likely areas to see frost the tonight we have high pressure over the oc

temperatures tomorrow are going to come down a solid ten degrees from these. 56 in santa rosa. it's going to be chilly tonight, but not as cold as it's going to get. here comes that weather system i've been talking about. it's coming straight down from the north. it doesn't have a lot of moisture. we're not forecasting really any rain. there might be a little bit of wet activity. maybe some drizzle or sprinkles. in the mountains, they'll get snow. the winds are still blowing at fairfield. west at 25. that keeps the temperatures above freezing tonight. the mountains after midnight tonight, a winter weather advisory will go into effect. the snow levels are going to get down to about 3,000 feet as we go through the day tomorrow. it would be nice if they got it to a foot of snow. increasing clouds tonight turned out to be a really, a pretty nice day. but as we go through the evening hours, the clouds are coming back in. we had fog in this area this morning. we had dense fog on the bay this morning. tomorrow is going to be about high clouds. this cool air does have clouds associated with it it

. 34, santa rosa. novato, same for fairfield, 38 walnut creek. it will be tough to get above 58, 59. snow, rain is up in seattle and portland. there's not a lot with this. but they are getting of that -- getting some of that. maybe an isolated shower tomorrow. really the cold air is the big story. we'll drop 5, 10 degrees tomorrow for sure as highs go in the upper 30s and 40s. today will be cooler. inland temperatures will struggle to get over 49 degrees as we head to wednesday and thursday. not a lot of rain with this system. we start off with the fog. mostly sunny. wind picks up. some clouds to the north bay. but temperatures, well they will be in the 60s today and then a lot of 50s tomorrow. low to mid-60s here. san rafael, 63. 63 walnut creek, alameda at 60. morgan hill, 66. gilroy will be one of the warmest at 67. 50s if you have the fog. it's -- i know brandon in pacifica -- i think he said 46, 48, damp and cold. the big news, again, will be wednesday, thursday, friday. there is will be lows in the 20s inland. even along the coast, low to mid-30s are possible. widespread freez
